World news and local stories in bite-size form

If you are interested in what's going on in the world, or even just what other kids in England are up to, check out the CBBC website for short and simple news stories. It has lots of videos and pictures to illustrate the news and is looking for you to share your own stories.

Why not 'perform a poem'?

Michael Rosen (former Children's Laureate) has created a safe and free website for chlidren to experience and participate in reading poetry aloud. On the site, perform-a-poem, pupils and children can add their own poetry performance, or get inspired by the poems read by other children. There is a great list of poems to perform, so what are you waiting for?

Perform-a-Poem was developed by Booktrust in association with Michael Rosen and the London Grid for Learning.
