Personal best:
‘I have a dream’, speech made by Martin Luther King Jr.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal”.
Martin Luther King Jr.

Background:
One of the greatest orators in US history, Martin Luther King Jr. was an African American clergyman, activist and prominent leader in the American civil rights movement. King delivered his famous “I have a dream” speech in 1963. In 1964 he became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation through non-violent means.

Simeon Williamson says:
"I first came across this iconic speech in a history class at school, and when I read the words I found them utterly inspiring and motivating. We all have dreams about things going on in our lives and my one is to win Olympic gold at 2012! Anything is possible if you want it bad enough."
