No Ordinary Joe by Joe Calzaghe
“Nothing has ever been handed to me on a plate and I believe that’s the reason I’ve been successful for so long. People talk about hunger, but you have to feel it in your belly, that’s the feeling you need to have…I had to fight my way to the top and I did it the hard way.”

Background:
Joe Calzaghe, a British boxer, is currently the Ring Magazine Light Heavyweight champion. He is also the former WBO, WBA, WBC, IBF, The Ring Magazine and the British Super Middleweight champion. Calzaghe is currently the longest reigning title holder in any weight class in boxing, recently passing the ten year mark as the WBO super middleweight champion.
James Toseland says:
"Having been in the Superbike World Championship for seven years and moving into MotoGP this year I travel a lot, which gives me the opportunity to read. I also enjoy boxing as a sport.
I am a firm believer that it takes hard work and dedication to achieve success and this quote echoes that. I admire Joe Calzaghe’s down-to-earth approach and strong work ethic and hope that remembering principles such as these will help me to achieve the future success I’m aiming for in MotoGP."
